
Vice President / General Counsel Century Corporate
Jeff Kibbey has been the primary legal counsel to Century Mortgage Company since its formation in 1996.
He has overseen all of Century’s legal affairs from the company’s initial establishment, to the creation of
the Century Lending division, and throughout its explosive growth in 2009 and 2010. He currently manages
the legal and compliance departments.
Prior to joining Century, Jeff was a recognized leader in financial services litigation, having represented
the nation’s largest banks, lenders and servicers in contested litigation in all levels of state and
federal courts in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana. He has been repeatedly recognized as the nation’s
top attorney for mortgage litigation, and has also served as counsel to the U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee and
five of the Fortune 20 companies.
Jeff is an honor graduate of Tulane University and Tulane Law School, where he also served as an
instructor and a member of the Moot Court Board. He is the multiple recipient of the American
Jurisprudence Award, the Callaghan Award in Appellate Advocacy, and the Chaffe-McCall Award in Appellate Advocacy.
Prior to attending law school, Jeff established Kentucky and Indiana’s first public email system in 1983
and was a radio/television personality in markets as diverse as Indianapolis, Hartford, Houston, St. Louis,
Louisville and New Orleans. Jeff is married and lives in East Louisville with his wife, Patsy, and their two beagles.
